Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Montessori School Teacher to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will guide students through hands-on learning experiences, encouraging independence and fostering their overall academic, social, emotional, and physical development in alignment with Montessori principles.
The role involves providing a variety of materials and resources that enable children to explore, manipulate, and engage in both structured learning and imaginative play. The teacher will organize and lead activities that promote physical, cognitive, and social development, including games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips. Additionally, the teacher will observe and identify any signs of emotional, developmental, or health-related concerns and collaborate with supervisors, parents or guardians, and child development specialists to ensure appropriate support.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare and maintain a well-organized, engaging classroom with a variety of Montessori materials and resources that encourage exploration, creativity, and independent learning.
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote physical, cognitive, and social development, including games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and experiential learning opportunities.
- Observe and assess each child’s progress, interests, and developmental needs, and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that supports each child’s individuality and confidence.
- Identify children who may be experiencing emotional, developmental, or health-related challenges, and collaborate with parents, guardians, supervisors, and specialists to support them effectively.
- Maintain open and regular communication with parents regarding their child’s progress and well-being.
- Facilitate and support the admissions process by counseling prospective parents and addressing their queries.
- Coordinate with the administration team for organizing school events, programs, and activities.
- Ensure the safety, hygiene, and overall well-being of all children at all times.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree .
- Certification or training in MTT or NTT (preferred).
- Excellent communication, observation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Ability to create a warm, nurturing, and structured learning environment.
- Experience in interacting with parents/guardians and addressing their concerns as required.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with the administration team for events and programs.
