Outboundry is a SaaS platform helping businesses automate and scale their outbound sales through email, LinkedIn, AI-powered personalization, and automated reply handling.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for a QA Engineer who can take strong ownership of product quality and make sure our users don't discover bugs before we do.
The Role
As a QA Engineer at Outboundry, you'll be responsible for end-to-end testing of our SaaS product across features, workflows, integrations, and edge cases.
Your primary goal will be simple:
Find the bugs before our users do.
You'll work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers throughout the development lifecycle to understand requirements, identify potential failure points, test new features, and ensure releases are production-ready.
This is a hands-on role where you'll have significant ownership over the quality of the product.
What You'll Do
- Perform end-to-end testing of the Outboundry platform across different user workflows.
- Test new features thoroughly before they are released to production.
- Perform regression testing to ensure new changes don't break existing functionality.
- Identify and reproduce bugs, including difficult-to-reproduce edge cases.
- Think beyond the happy path and proactively identify scenarios that could cause issues for users.
- Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, checklists, and QA documentation.
- Test integrations with third-party services and APIs.
- Validate different combinations of user settings, workflows, permissions, data, and configurations.
- Perform cross-browser and responsive testing where required.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure issues are properly resolved before release.
- Work closely with developers to understand root causes and help get issues resolved quickly.
- Participate in product discussions and provide QA input before features are built, not just after development is complete.
- Help establish and improve our overall QA and release process.
- Continuously look for ways to make testing faster, more reliable, and more comprehensive.
- Eventually contribute to test automation for critical and repetitive workflows.
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in software testing / QA, preferably with SaaS or web applications.
- Strong understanding of functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing.
- Excellent attention to detail and a mindset of questioning how things can break.
- Ability to understand complex product workflows and test them systematically.
- Strong bug reporting and communication skills.
- Ability to clearly document steps to reproduce an issue, expected behavior, actual behavior, and relevant evidence.
- Comfortable working closely with developers and product managers.
- Good understanding of web applications, APIs, HTTP, and basic debugging concepts.
- Familiarity with tools such as Postman, browser DevTools, Jira/Linear, or similar tools.
- Ability to independently own QA for a feature or product area.
Nice to Have
- Experience with test automation using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools.
- Experience testing REST APIs.
- Basic understanding of SQL/databases.
- Experience testing SaaS products with multiple integrations.
- Experience with CI/CD and automated testing pipelines.
- Experience testing products involving email, LinkedIn, CRM, or other third-party integrations.
- Familiarity with performance, security, or reliability testing.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, success isn't measured by how many test cases you execute.
It's measured by how effectively you prevent users from encountering problems.
You will be successful if:
- Critical bugs are caught before production.
- Releases become more predictable and reliable.
- Regression issues are caught before reaching customers.
- QA coverage improves as the product grows.
- Bugs are reported clearly enough for engineers to fix them quickly.
- You proactively identify edge cases instead of waiting for users to report them.
- You gradually help us build a scalable QA and testing process.
Why Join Outboundry?
- Work on a fast-growing SaaS product used by businesses for real-world sales workflows.
- Take significant ownership of product quality and QA processes.
- Work directly with the Product and Engineering teams.
- Opportunity to build QA processes from the ground up rather than simply following an existing checklist.
- Exposure to AI, automation, email infrastructure, LinkedIn workflows, APIs, and third-party integrations.
- A role where your work has a direct impact on the product and customer experience.
