News Editor – Roles & Responsibilities1. Content Review & Editing
- Review and edit news scripts, articles, and reports for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and consistency.
- Ensure all content follows the organization's editorial guidelines and standards.
- Verify facts, sources, and information before publication or broadcast.
2. News Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with reporters, anchors, camerapersons, and production teams.
- Assign news stories and monitor their progress.
- Plan daily news coverage and prioritize important stories.
3. Video & Broadcast Editing
- Review and approve video packages before airing.
- Ensure proper sequencing of visuals, graphics, and audio.
- Maintain quality and consistency in news broadcasts.
4. Editorial Decision-Making
- Select and prioritize news stories based on relevance and importance.
- Decide headlines, story angles, and presentation formats.
- Ensure balanced, unbiased, and ethical reporting.
5. Breaking News Management
- Monitor current events and breaking news updates.
- Coordinate with the newsroom team for quick and accurate coverage.
- Ensure timely updates across all platforms.
6. Quality Control
- Ensure all published or broadcast content is error-free.
- Check for legal, ethical, and compliance issues.
- Maintain high standards of journalism and credibility.
7. Team Management
- Guide and mentor reporters, content writers, and junior editors.
- Conduct regular feedback and performance reviews.
- Ensure smooth communication within the newsroom.
8. Digital & Social Media Support
- Review news content for websites and social media platforms.
- Optimize headlines and descriptions for better audience engagement.
- Coordinate with digital teams for online publishing.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
