WHO ARE WE?
We are a genetics and breeding company solving the most foundational problem in meat production: how humanity produces mutton protein at scale. Superior goat genetics is the most defensible, most consequential, and most overlooked lever in this industry. We pull it with scientific rigour. No one else does. Behind this: a CS PhD, a dropout, and a self-made billionaire. Before building industrial goat parks, we were among the largest live goat traders in India. We know this industry from the inside out, and that knowledge became our roots for building Mesha. We deploy our genetics science through industrial goat parks — purpose-built environments producing consistent, premium mutton at a scale that has never existed. We are backed by some of India's most prominent business figures and operate the largest such parks in the country. Our ambition is singular: to become the world's largest mutton company. A category we are not joining, we are creating it.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
A general-purpose operations leader who can own an entire vertical end-to-end. You don’t need to have done this before. You do need to be the kind of person who figures things out. A precise executor. SOPs will be provided for your vertical. Your job is to own them completely, to the dot, every time. Sharp enough to improve things. If you genuinely spot a better way, we want to hear it. Initiative is welcome, but execution comes first. Obsessed with ground-level outcomes. Not in theory, not in a meeting — on the ground, with real animals, real people, and real constraints.Ready for the rollercoaster. This is a startup. Things will go sideways. You will hold your vertical steady anyway. Either a diploma in veterinary, paravet or an experience of at least 6 months in handling the health of animals is mandatory. You actively monitor for signs of diversion in a goat’s behaviour, posture, and appetite to detect illnesses before they become outbreaks.
WHAT WILL YOU GET TO DO?
- You own the diagnostic process from start to finish, performing thorough exams, checking vitals, and analysing diagnostic results to accurately treat diseases and infections.
- You administer medical protocols and follow up to ensure full recovery.
- You record every symptom, diagnosis, and treatment instantly and accurately, knowing thatflawed data directly compromises herd health, biosecurity, and management decisions.
WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT?
This is not a desk job. Not a coordination role where you relay messages between people. You are theoperator, the person who builds our team and culture, every single day.
