Operation Theatre (OT) Technician

Job Summary:
An Operation Theatre Technician is responsible for preparing and maintaining the operation theatre, assisting surgeons and nurses during surgeries, handling surgical instruments and equipment, and ensuring cleanliness and sterilization standards in the OT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare operation theatre before surgery.
- Arrange surgical instruments, equipment, and consumables.
- Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff during operations.
- Maintain sterilization of surgical instruments and OT equipment.
- Check functioning of OT equipment before procedures.
- Transfer patients safely to and from the operation theatre.
- Maintain OT cleanliness and infection control standards.
- Handle and maintain surgical instruments carefully.
- Maintain records of OT procedures and equipment usage.
- Ensure availability of emergency surgical supplies.
- Dispose biomedical waste as per hospital protocols.
- Coordinate with CSSD and other departments for sterile supplies.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma / Degree in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT)
- Certification in OT Technician course preferred.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures
- Sterilization and infection control knowledge
- Communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Basic computer knowledge
- Emergency handling skills
Experience:
- Fresher or experienced candidates can apply.
- Hospital OT experience preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Shift duty including night shifts and emergency calls.
- Work in sterile and high-pressure environments.
Salary:
- Based on qualification and experience.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
