Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Foreign Trade Assistant to support our import operations. The ideal candidate should have good mental math skills, be comfortable using AI tools to improve productivity, and be eager to learn import procedures. Prior experience in import documentation is not required, as on-the-job training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Use AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar platforms) to support research, documentation, data analysis, and day-to-day work.
- Perform quick and accurate calculations related to pricing, costs, quantities, margins, and currency conversions.
- Assist with import and foreign trade documentation (on-the-job training will be provided).
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs agents, and internal teams to ensure smooth import operations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and spreadsheets.
- Track shipments and follow up on documentation to ensure timely processing.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency by leveraging AI tools and digital solutions.
- Support the Foreign Trade team with administrative and operational tasks as required.
Required Skills
- Good mental math and numerical aptitude.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar platforms.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Willingness to learn import documentation and international trade processes.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 1 year of relevant experience in foreign trade or a similar role, along with strong numerical aptitude and good computer skills, is preferred.
