Role Overview
The Manager - Training & Design will lead the design, development, and implementation of high-quality training programs across tech and non-tech domains. This role is responsible for creating engaging curricula, strengthening training delivery, and ensuring learning programs are aligned with youth needs, employability outcomes, and evolving industry requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Program Design & Curriculum Development

Design and develop engaging, scalable training programs for youth across technical and non-technical skills.

Align curricula with industry standards, employability skills, and 21st-century competencies.

Integrate project-based, experiential, and blended learning approaches.

Ensure gender-responsive and inclusion-sensitive curriculum design.

Regularly update content based on learner feedback, outcomes, and market trends.
Training Delivery & Quality Assurance

Manage and support trainers (in-house, freelance, and partner trainers).

Design and facilitate Training of Trainers (ToT) to maintain consistency and quality.

Promote learner-centered, participatory, and feedback-driven training practices.

Support digital and hybrid learning models using LMS and edtech tools.
Cross-Team & External Collaboration

Work closely with program, impact, partnerships, and tech teams to co-create learning journeys.

Collaborate with industry experts, educators, and employers to ensure relevance.

Contribute to donor proposals, reports, and presentations from a training and learning lens.

Represent the training function in internal and external forums when required.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Continuous Improvement

Define and track key metrics for training effectiveness and learner outcomes.

Work with the M&E team to assess learning impact and apply insights for improvement.

Analyse feedback from learners, trainers, and employers to enhance program quality.

Document best practices and learning models for replication and scale.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in Education, Social Sciences, Human Development, or related fields.

6–8 years of experience in training design and delivery.
-
At least 2 years of experience managing trainers or leading learning initiatives.

Experience across both tech (digital literacy, coding, etc.) and non-tech (communication, life skills, employability skills) programs is strongly preferred.

Experience working with youth or in the social development sector is a plus.
