Job Summary
Revolite is seeking an experienced Senior Cypress Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web and API testing. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Cypress, JavaScript/TypeScript, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation best practices.
Candidates located outside Bangalore are welcome to apply, provided they are willing to travel to the Bangalore office for 5–7 days per month. Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain end-to-end UI automation test suites using Cypress.
- Design and implement API automation testing using Cypress, Mocha, and Chai.
- Create data mocking and stubbing strategies using cy.intercept.
- Optimize test execution through Cypress Parallelization.
- Develop and execute manual test cases using Jira and Xray.
- Configure and maintain Jenkins jobs and CI/CD pipelines.
- Integrate automated test suites into deployment pipelines.
- Generate and maintain test reports using Allure, Mochawesome, or JUnit.
- Perform database validations using SQL queries.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure software quality.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Cypress Automation Testing.
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Experience in Web and API Automation Testing.
- Strong understanding of Mocha and Chai frameworks.
- Experience with Cypress Data Mocking and Stubbing (cy.intercept).
- Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Strong knowledge of Jira and Xray Test Management.
- Good understanding of SQL and database testing.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude.
- Experience with Cypress Parallelization.
- Exposure to cloud-based testing environments.
- Knowledge of test reporting frameworks such as Allure, Mochawesome, or JUnit.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Cypress Automation Framework.
Travel Requirement
- Must be willing to travel to the Bangalore office for 5–7 days per month.
- Travel and lodging expenses will be reimbursed by the company.
