Position: Mason
Department: Engineering / Maintenance
Reports To: Engineering Supervisor / Chief Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain walls, floors, ceilings, and concrete structures.
- Perform plastering, brickwork, block work, and stone work.
- Install and repair floor and wall tiles, including grouting and sealing.
- Carry out preventive maintenance in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house sections.
- Respond to maintenance requests and work orders promptly.
- Assist in renovation and refurbishment projects.
- Mix mortar and cement and prepare materials for masonry work.
- Inspect buildings for cracks, damage, or other civil maintenance issues.
- Follow safety procedures and use tools and equipment properly.
- Coordinate with carpenters, painters, plumbers, and other maintenance staff when required.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of brickwork, plastering, tiling, and concrete repair.
- Ability to read basic drawings and measurements.
- Experience with masonry tools and equipment.
- Good problem-solving and teamwork skills.
- Awareness of workplace safety standards.
Qualification
- ITI Masonry / Civil Trade or equivalent preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in hotels, facilities maintenance, or construction.
- Basic English communication is often preferred in hotels.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
