Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design or related field.
- Proven 1 to 8 years of experience in home textile design, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative and commercially successful designs.
- Proficiency in design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and CorelDRAW.
- In-depth knowledge of home textile materials, construction techniques, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret market trends and customer preferences and translate them into unique and appealing designs.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a design team.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for color, texture, and pattern.
- Knowledge of sustainable and eco-friendly design practices is a plus.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead the home textile design team and oversee the entire design process from concept to production.
- Develop innovative and marketable designs for a range of home textile products, including bedding, bath linens, curtains, and decorative accessories.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, production, and marketing, to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Stay updated with the latest design trends, materials, and technologies in the home textile industry.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, helping them develop their skills and creativity.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer preferences, competitor products, and emerging trends.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and ensure product quality and compliance.
- Maintain accurate design documentation, including technical drawings, color specifications, and material samples.
- Ensure that all designs adhere to company standards, brand guidelines, and customer requirements.
