Hostel Manager – Student Hostel
Role Overview
Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a student hostel, including residents, staff, rooms, food quality, collections and basic accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage hostel rooms, occupancy, check-in/check-out and daily operations.
- Supervise housekeeping, security, kitchen and other hostel staff.
- Handle day-to-day concerns and complaints from students and parents.
- Manage monthly rent/fee collection, deposits and outstanding payments.
- Maintain basic books of accounts, cash records, expenses and payment receipts.
- Monitor food quality, hygiene, quantity and student feedback.
- Conduct regular checks of rooms, cleanliness, facilities and maintenance.
- Coordinate repairs, vendors and other operational requirements.
- Ensure hostel discipline, safety and compliance with hostel rules.
- Maintain basic records for residents, payments, expenses, incidents and staff attendance.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in hostel, PG, hotel, residential facility or similar operations.
- Good communication and people-management skills.
- Elementary knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping and ability to maintain basic books.
- Basic Excel/Google Sheets knowledge.
- Responsible, organized and capable of handling multiple issues independently.
- Experience managing a student hostel/PG is preferred.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹2,230,427.06 per month
