Position SummaryThe Property Insurance Manager – Sales will drive new business development, corporate client acquisition, and retention for property insurance lines. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of commercial property risks, engineering policies, and standard asset insurance packages. This role requires building high-value corporate relationships and translating technical risk evaluations into robust coverage proposals. Core Responsibilities.
- New Client Acquisition: Hunt and secure corporate accounts for property insurance lines including Fire, IAR (Industrial All Risks), SFSP (Standard Fire and Special Perils), CAR/EAR (Contractors/Erection All Risks), and Machinery Breakdown.
- Portfolio Retention: Manage a pipeline of existing corporate accounts, ensuring over 95% renewal retention through constant engagement and proactive risk evaluation.
- Sourcing Quotes & RFQs: Collaborate directly with public and private insurance companies to structure Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and negotiate optimal premiums.
- Client Presentations: Create and pitch detailed comparative market analyses, explaining complex policy exclusions, terms, and add-on covers to corporate stakeholders.
- Claims Coordination: Act as the client liaison during claims processing, ensuring rapid adjudication and settlement alongside internal technical teams.
- Cross-Selling: Introduce secondary general insurance lines like Marine, Liability, and Group Health policies to existing property clients.
- MIS & Reporting: Maintain accurate sales funnels and pipeline analytics through structured daily MIS reports for senior management.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3 to 6 years of hardcore corporate sales or business development experience in an insurance broking firm or general insurance company, focusing explicitly on property/commercial lines.
- Technical Knowledge: Thorough understanding of corporate asset valuations, underwriting parameters, and property risk parameters.
- Network: Strong pre-existing relationships with industrial clients, manufacturing corporations, real estate developers, or infrastructure companies.
- Licensing: IRDAI composite or general insurance broker certification is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Exceptionally persuasive communication, sharp consultative selling abilities, and professional negotiation skills.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA in Marketing/Insurance Management is a plus.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
