Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive GeM Portal & Government Tender Executive to manage end-to-end government procurement activities through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and various e-procurement portals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring tender opportunities, preparing and submitting bids, ensuring compliance with government procurement guidelines, coordinating with internal teams, and maintaining accurate documentation. The role requires excellent organizational skills, strong knowledge of tender processes, and the ability to handle multiple deadlines efficiently while addressing customer queries and objections with professionalism and clarity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage GeM Portal registration, profile maintenance, and product/service listings.
- Monitor GeM bids, tenders, purchase orders, and government procurement opportunities on a daily basis.
- Identify suitable tenders and evaluate eligibility criteria for participation.
- Prepare and submit bids, quotations, BOQs, technical documents, and commercial proposals within stipulated timelines.
- Ensure complete compliance with tender terms, government procurement guidelines, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with sales, accounts, logistics, purchase, and compliance teams for timely submission and execution.
- Maintain organized records of tenders, bids, clarifications, purchase orders, and awarded contracts.
- Track bid status, respond to buyer communications, and manage post-bid correspondence.
- Support post-order activities including contract documentation, invoicing, dispatch coordination, and order fulfillment.
- Handle GeM Portal updates, amendments, product modifications, and compliance requirements.
- Address customer queries and objections with professionalism and clarity.
- Prepare periodic MIS reports related to tender participation, success rates, and procurement activities.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Hands-on experience working with the GeM Portal.
- Strong understanding of Government Tender and e-procurement processes.
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, PDF editing tools, and online documentation.
- Strong communication, coordination, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's Degree (Any Discipline).
- Experience with MSME, NSIC, and vendor registrations.
- Familiarity with e-procurement portals beyond GeM.
- Working knowledge of EMD, PBG, GST, and commercial tender terms.
