As we continue to expand our specialized learning programs, we are seeking an accomplished Abacus Master Trainer & Curriculum Specialist to lead the academic development, standardization, and growth of our Abacus Program.
Position Overview
The Freelance Abacus Master Trainer & Curriculum Specialist will play a key role in building and strengthening the Score Merit Abacus Program. This position requires an experienced Abacus educator with deep expertise in curriculum design, trainer development, instructional quality, and learner outcomes. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing a scalable, high-quality program that meets modern educational standards while delivering exceptional learning experiences for students and educators.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Development & Academic Leadership:
- Review, redesign, and enhance the Abacus curriculum across all levels.
- Develop structured learning pathways aligned with learner progression and industry best practices.
- Create lesson plans, assessment frameworks, practice modules, worksheets, and academic resources.Establish academic standards, learning outcomes, and progression benchmarks.
- Continuously evaluate and improve curriculum effectiveness based on learner performance and feedback.
Training & Program Delivery:
- Deliver engaging and effective Abacus training sessions across all levels.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in mental arithmetic techniques and advanced Abacus methodologies.
- Ensure high-quality instruction and learner engagement in online learning environments.
- Support the implementation of innovative teaching practices and learner-centered approaches.
Trainer Development & Quality Assurance:
- Design and implement a Train-the-Trainer framework.
- Train, mentor, evaluate, and certify Abacus trainers.
- Conduct instructional quality reviews and provide professional feedback.
- Establish trainer performance standards and teaching best practices.
- Maintain consistency and excellence across the Abacus program.
Program Growth & Innovation:
- Recommend improvements to strengthen learner outcomes and program effectiveness.
- Explore and integrate appropriate educational technologies and digital learning tools.
- Collaborate with the Score Merit academic leadership team on program development initiatives.
- Contribute to the long-term growth and scalability of the Abacus program.
Key Deliverables
The selected candidate will be expected to:
- Develop or redesign the complete Abacus curriculum framework.
- Create structured lesson plans and academic resources for all levels.
- Establish learner assessment and progression standards.
- Develop trainer certification and evaluation guidelines.
- Create quality assurance processes for program delivery.
- Support the onboarding and development of future Abacus trainers.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Abacus education and training.
- Strong expertise across all levels of Abacus instruction.
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum design and academic program development.
- Proven Train-the-Trainer experience.
- Experience conducting online training sessions effectively.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
- Strong commitment to educational excellence and learner success.
Preferred Qualifications
- Grandmaster Certification in Abacus (Highly Preferred).
- Experience coaching students for national or international Abacus competitions.
- Experience developing mental arithmetic programs and advanced learning pathways.
- Experience working with international learners and diverse educational environments.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education and digital learning platforms.
- Exposure to educational technology and modern instructional practices

Compensation
Compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, expertise, and scope of contribution.
Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
