Job Summary
We are seeking a confident and service-driven Food & Beverage Supervisor / Executive to lead floor operations at our Bistro.
The ideal candidate brings strong beverage knowledge, leadership presence, and hands-on operational expertise in premium restaurant or bar environments. The Supervisor will independently manage shifts when required and support the overall performance and standards of the outlet.
Key ResponsibilitiesService & Shift Operations
Supervise daily floor operations and ensure high service standards across all shifts.
Independently manage shifts in the absence of the Floor Manager.
Oversee table allocations, guest flow, and service sequencing.
Ensure ambience, cleanliness, and presentation standards are maintained at all times.
Monitor service speed, accuracy, and guest satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Training
Lead, guide, and motivate Captains and Servers during service.
Conduct pre-shift briefings covering menu updates, beverage highlights, and service notes.
Provide on-the-job training and performance feedback.
Ensure grooming, uniform standards, and service readiness.
Support the development of team members and encourage upselling practices.
Guest Relations
Engage with guests to ensure a warm, personalised hospitality experience.
Handle guest concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.
Exercise authority in resolving service issues on the floor.
Support the creation of memorable bar experiences and encourage repeat clientele.
Beverage Knowledge
Demonstrate strong knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails, and bar operations.
Drive upselling initiatives and support achievement of revenue targets.
Guide the team in recommending pairings and premium offerings.
Stay updated on beverage trends and cocktail standards.
Coordination & Communication
Maintain seamless communication between the service team and bar/kitchen staff.
Ensure accurate order execution and timely delivery.
Work closely with the Floor Manager to maintain smooth operations.
Administrative & Operational Support
Prepare and maintain daily operational reports.
Assist in staff scheduling and shift planning.
Handle billing procedures and POS closures accurately.
Support stock checks, inventory control, and requisition processes.
Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and hotel service standards.
Requirements
3–4 years of overall experience in the F&B industry.
1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or captain role.
Strong leadership and floor management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, and cocktail service.
Guest-first mindset with the ability to remain composed during high-volume service.
Strong understanding of POS systems and reporting procedures.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred
Experience in fine or casual fine dining.
Experience training and mentoring service teams.
Knowledge of international service standards and etiquette.
