Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Gastroenterologist to join a reputed multi-specialty hospital in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases related to the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and biliary system. The consultant should possess excellent clinical judgment and expertise in performing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas, and biliary system.
- Perform Upper GI Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy, ERCP (if applicable), and other advanced endoscopic procedures.
- Evaluate and treat patients with gastrointestinal bleeding, inflammatory bowel disease, liver disorders, pancreatitis, and digestive system diseases.
- Provide outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology consultations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
- Interpret laboratory investigations, imaging studies, and endoscopy findings.
- Work closely with Surgical Gastroenterologists, Oncologists, Radiologists, and other specialists for multidisciplinary patient care.
- Participate in emergency gastroenterology services whenever required.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
- Educate patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and preventive healthcare.
Qualification
- DM / DNB in Medical Gastroenterology from a recognized institution.
- Valid State Medical Council / NMC Registration.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of post-DM experience in Medical Gastroenterology.
- Experience in handling OPD, IPD, emergency gastroenterology cases, and advanced endoscopic procedures.
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and patient management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Expertise in Diagnostic & Therapeutic Endoscopy.
- Experience in Colonoscopy and Upper GI Procedures.
- Knowledge of ERCP and advanced GI interventions is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
