Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Electrician to carry out preventive and corrective electrical maintenance across our plant. The role involves ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all electrical systems, including outdoor power distribution equipment, machine control panels, transformers, and associated electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspection and preventive maintenance of outdoor PPC (Power Protection & Control) panels, electrical distribution panels, transformers, MCCs, and machine control panels.
- Record and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly meter readings, including energy consumption, voltage, current, power factor, and other operational parameters as required.
- Inspect electrical equipment for signs of overheating, loose connections, corrosion, moisture/dust ingress, abnormal noise, or any potential failure.
- Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults, equipment trips, breakdowns, and control circuit issues to minimize plant downtime.
- Diagnose faults using electrical testing instruments such as multimeters, insulation resistance testers (megger), clamp meters, and phase sequence meters.
- Carry out routine tightening, cleaning, testing, and preventive servicing of electrical panels and equipment.
- Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to safely isolate equipment before maintenance and restore systems after completion.
- Monitor transformer health, including visual inspections, oil leakage, temperature indications, earthing condition, and general housekeeping around electrical installations.
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with safety standards, statutory regulations, and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, fault logs, and spare parts consumption.
- Identify recurring issues and provide professional recommendations for improving equipment reliability, energy efficiency, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Assist in planning shutdown maintenance activities and support installation or commissioning of new electrical equipment when required.
- Ensure proper housekeeping of electrical rooms, panels, and substations.
- Follow Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), permit-to-work systems, and all electrical safety procedures at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
- ITI Electrician / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3–5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience (manufacturing, process plant, utility, or similar environment preferred).
- Strong understanding of LT electrical systems, transformers, MCCs, PCCs, control panels, motors, VFDs, protection relays, and industrial electrical equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), wiring schematics, and panel layouts.
- Familiarity with electrical testing instruments and fault diagnosis techniques.
- Basic knowledge of electrical safety standards and preventive maintenance practices.

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
