GC-MS Analyst – Fragrance & Flavour

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced GC-MS Analyst to join our Fragrance & Flavour team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing raw materials, fragrance compounds, and finished products using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS). The role involves supporting research and development activities, conducting fragrance analysis, and ensuring accurate analytical reporting.
Key Responsibilities-
· Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis using GC-MS.
· Conduct fragrance analysis, including sample preparation, extraction, and dosage determination.
· Analyze fragrance oils, raw materials, and finished products across Fine Fragrance, Personal Care, Air Care, Household, and Customer Oil applications.
· Interpret chromatograms and mass spectra accurately.
· Identify unknown compounds, impurities, and fragrance components.
· Support fragrance formula understanding, comparison studies, and formula reconstruction activities.
· Provide analytical support to the R&D and product development teams.
· Develop, validate, and optimize analytical methods as required.
· Maintain accurate documentation, test records, and analytical reports.
· Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of GC-MS instruments.
· Follow laboratory safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Requirements-
· Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
· Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in GC-MS analysis within the Fragrance & Flavour industry.
