Job Summary
As an Assistant Manager – Sales, you will be responsible for generating new business, managing existing client relationships, achieving revenue targets, and leading the sales team. The role involves selling conference delegate registrations and sponsorship opportunities to businesses within the pharmaceutical and related industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, and other lead-generation channels.
- Identify and approach potential clients for conference sponsorship and delegate participation.
- Manage and expand existing client accounts by building strong, long-term business relationships.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase delegate registrations and sponsorship revenue.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, negotiations, and follow-ups to close business opportunities.
- Prepare and share proposals, quotations, and commercial agreements with prospective clients.
- Manage the sales pipeline, lead conversions, revenue forecasts, and follow-up activities.
- Identify new industries, market segments, and business opportunities to expand the client base.
- Coordinate with Conference Production and Marketing teams for upcoming conferences and campaigns.
- Maintain accurate client databases, CRM records, sales reports, and MIS.
- Monitor individual and team performance against monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Handle client queries and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Represent the organization professionally at client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- 2–3 years of experience in Sales / Business Development / B2B Sales.
- Candidates with experience in conference, event, media, advertising, exhibitions, pharmaceutical, or corporate sales will be preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable with cold calling, client meetings, negotiations, and closing deals.
- Candidates based in Mumbai, especially those residing along the Western Line, are preferred
