Job Purpose
The Global Indian Client Acquisition Specialist is responsible for acquiring Global Indian clients through digital channels, understanding their financial needs, effectively communicating DBS India's value proposition, and directing them to the most suitable internal teams for further engagement. This role is crucial for achieving acquisition targets and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines.
Key Requirements
- Client Acquisition & Sales Targets:
- Achieve monthly and annual client acquisition targets from Global Indian leads and through natural market sourcing.
- Customer Profiling & Needs Analysis:
- Conduct thorough profiling of customers to understand their background and financial requirements.
- DBS India Proposition Expertise:
- Provide detailed and accurate explanations of the DBS India Proposition to prospective clients.
- Client Segmentation & Referral:
- Acquire clients of the desired profile and appropriately segregate and forward interested prospects to the relevant teams, such as TRM (Treasures Relationship Manager), VRM (Virtual Relationship Manager), and Branches.
- Compliance & Due Diligence:
- Ensure strict adherence to DBS sales processes and internal and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain transparent disclosure of DBS proposition contents and exercise due diligence during client profiling.
- Client Engagement & Service Level Agreements (SLAs):
- Connect with clients within the agreed-upon Turnaround Time (TAT).
- CRM Management:
- Accurately fill Client Connect/CRM with correct dispositions and detailed remarks for all client interactions.
- Customer Satisfaction:
- Drive and deliver a radical improvement in customer satisfaction scores through timely engagement and redressal of client enquiries.
- Ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction.
- Product Knowledge and Solutions:
- Maintain awareness of relevant products and services to provide the best solutions for clients based on their identified needs and aspirations.
- Branch Support:
- Provide timely support to branches on any NRI onboarding / process / transactional queries
Goals
- Acquire Global Indian clients via digital channels.
- Profile customers and understand their requirements.
- Explain the DBS India Proposition in detail.
Forward interested customers to the relevant internal teams.

Required Experience
- Experience in the banking industry and financial institutions is preferred; however, freshers are accepted.
- Good knowledge of Non-Resident proposition for banking in India.
- Customer-oriented and able to capture customer financial needs.
Ability to handle client requests via e-channels and versatility with digital tools would be beneficial.

Education / Preferred Qualifications
- University level education, preferably in finance, business, or a related discipline.
Postgraduation in marketing, finance, or banking would be desirable.

- Ensuring remote coverage and engagement of customers along with Branch teams for support.
Close interaction with Channels / Segments and Clusters to ensure consistent delivery of service and business objectives.
