Job Description:
Responsible for the day to day SMT & THT Process activities in the Mfg area. Closely Monitor the SMT PnP line & THT line activities / issues and investigate and resolve process issues to improve the product yield & quality by analyzing various processes.
MAIN PURPOSE AND ROLE
Provide technical leadership and Process Engineering support in the manufacturing operations to meet and sustaining process yield, cycle time, cost targets, process improvement and new process development.
Develop process for production line and make changes to existing manufacturing facilities and processes to improve product flow.
Revise and update documentation related to Process Work Instructions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Basic Process Knowledge :
-
The Person should be well aware of SMT & THT process flow
- Able Identify Critical Process Parameters to be monitored
-
Solder paste Handling & Storage procedure.
-
Temperature Profiling & Wave soldering process
- Able to identify all kind of WMS defects and provide recommendations on resolving the issues.
-
Responsible to carryout, review and analyze Temperature Profiling.

Responsible to recommend Reflow, wwave solder Oven Parameters & Solder Paste Printer Paramenters

Responsible to revise and update documentation related to working instructions.

Support other teams in manufacturing issues that may develop on a day to day basis.

Participate in continuous improvement meetings and projects-

Responsible to Closely Monitor the SMT PnP line & THT line activities / issues and investigate and resolve process issues to improve the product yield & quality.

Able to recognize failure trends and recommend corrective action through APC’s LQL process.
Process Evaluation
-
Responsible in the evaluation and recommendation of improvements to the Manufacturing Process.
- Responsible to Evaluate and resolve product and material quality issues relating to design, test and manufacturing.
- Initiate Engineering evaluations, Materials, Process evaluation and implementation to meet the recommended quality standards.
Process Fixture & Stencil Design :

Design and set-up of fixtures and jigs for manual insertion operation.

Responsible to develop the Solder Paste Stencils for all the new Products and enhance openings for launched products

Responsible to review the new Product PCB gerbers.

Study the Manufacturing process of new model, set-up the streamline process flow and co-ordinate with other departments to carry out the Pilot run & Qualification run

Perform base level analysis on PCBAs during development, production as well as find weakness in the design and support improvements and enhancement of the product.

Develop tools, jigs , Stencils and fixture for new product.

Coordinates with other support groups in the transfer of new model from other facility.

Responsible to generates Work Instructions for new models.
Project Involvement :

Responsible to Improves the efficiency and/or productivity of existing manufacturing set-ups.
- Good background in Process yield, Cycle time, Cost targets, Process improvement projects
Analytical Skill :

The Person should be Six Sigma trained

Good Knowledge in Problem solving tools ( CI & Six sigma Tools )
Documentation & Communication skill

Should be Good In Co-ordination & Communication

Good working Knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

(External) English Qualifications:
Diploma / Degree in Electronics, Electrical & Mechanical discipline
7+ years of experience in PCBA Assembly Process
