Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Draughtsman cum Modeler to join our Engineering team. This opportunity is suitable for both fresh graduates and candidates with up to 3 years of experience in engineering drafting and 3D modelling. The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing 2D engineering drawings, developing 3D models, and producing fabrication and shop drawings while working closely with engineers and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate 2D engineering drawings, layouts, and detailing.
* Develop and maintain 3D models using CAD software.
* Produce General Arrangement (GA), fabrication, assembly, and shop drawings.
* Revise drawings based on engineering reviews and client comments.
* Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements.
* Coordinate with engineers and project teams to resolve design-related issues.
* Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and maintain drawing documentation.
* Manage drawing revisions and document control throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
* Diploma or ITI in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or a related Engineering discipline.
* *0–3 years of experience* in engineering drafting and 3D modelling.
* Freshers with strong CAD skills are encouraged to apply.
* Proficiency in *AutoCAD* and at least one 3D modelling software such as *SolidWorks, **Autodesk Inventor*, or similar.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and standards.
* Knowledge of fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and drafting practices will be an added advantage.
* Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
* Exposure to structural steel, offshore, marine, shipbuilding, heavy engineering, or industrial projects.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Ability to work independently while meeting project deadlines.
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new software and engineering practices.
