Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily shop floor operations and ensure production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and on time. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of fabrication processes, team handling, production planning, quality standards, and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor daily production activities on the shop floor.
- Plan, assign, and monitor work to achieve daily production targets.
- Ensure production is completed as per drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Dispatch teams.
- Monitor manpower utilization and improve production efficiency.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain daily production reports, shift reports, and production records.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, 5S, and company policies.
- Train and guide shop floor operators to improve productivity and quality.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize production wastage.
- Ensure timely completion of work orders and adherence to production schedules.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Fabrication and Structural Fabrication.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication processes.
- Good leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of production planning and scheduling.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, ERP is an added advantage).
Eligibility Criteria
- Diploma/B.E. in Mechanical, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in a fabrication/manufacturing industry.
- Experience in supervising shop floor teams.
- Immediate joiners will be preferred.
