Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Manual Lathe Turner with 5+ years of hands-on experience in operating conventional/manual lathe machines. The candidate should be capable of machining precision components as per engineering drawings while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operate manual/conventional lathe machines to manufacture precision components.
· Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
· Perform turning, facing, drilling, boring, threading, knurling, and taper turning operations.
· Set up workpieces, cutting tools, and machine parameters for production.
· Measure finished components using Vernier calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
· Maintain dimensional accuracy and quality as per customer specifications.
· Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure proper machine cleanliness.
· Identify and resolve machining issues to minimize production downtime.
· Follow safety procedures, quality standards, and production schedules.
· Coordinate with the production and quality teams to achieve daily production targets.
Required Skills:
· Strong knowledge of manual lathe machine operations.
· Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
· Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
· Knowledge of machining tolerances, cutting tools, feeds, and speeds.
· Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
