Why Technology Consulting
The Technology Consulting business within Global Network invents the future for clients by providing them with the right guidance, design thinking and innovative solutions for technological transformation. As technology rapidly evolves, it is more important than ever to have an innovation advisor who can create a new vision or put one into place to solve the client's toughest business problems. Specialise in management or technology consulting to transform the world's leading organisations by building innovative business solutions as their trusted advisor by:
Helping Clients: Rethinking IT and Digital ecosystems and innovating to help clients keep pace with fast-changing, customer-driven environments.
Enhancing your Skillset: Building expertise and innovating with leading-edge technologies such as Cloud, Artificial Intelligence and Platform Engineering.
Transforming Businesses: Developing customised, next-generation products and services that help clients shift to new business models designed for today's connected landscape of disruptive technologies.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Overview
Lead Azure cloud architecture workstreams within large advisory and transformation programs, owning the design and delivery of architecture outcomes end-to-end. Act as the primary day-to-day architecture advisor to client VP and Director-level technology stakeholders — running architecture design sessions, facilitating trade-off decisions, and maintaining the architecture decision log. Own the detailed design of Azure Landing Zones, Management Group structures, Azure Policy assignments, and Entra ID configurations.
Lead the design of cloud security architecture for client engagements — developing Zero Trust network designs, Entra ID and access governance models, encryption frameworks, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud implementations across client Azure environments.
Lead FinOps workstreams — building financial governance frameworks, developing multi-year Azure cost models, designing chargeback and showback mechanisms, and identifying Reservation, Azure Hybrid Benefit, and rightsizing opportunities using Azure Cost Management and Advisor.
Own the IaC and platform engineering architecture for client engagements — defining standards and patterns using Bicep, ARM Templates, and Terraform, and designing the governance model that ensures consistent infrastructure delivery. Lead the design of observability architectures using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and third-party platforms such as Datadog and Dynatrace.
Contribute across adjacent areas — designing the cloud infrastructure that enables AI and agentic workloads using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and Azure Machine Learning; providing cloud architecture inputs to Tech Modernization engagements; applying resilience architecture patterns to Technology Resiliency workstreams; and advising on ecosystem decisions covering Microsoft partner network, ISV/MSP selection, and MACC commercial models.
Support business development through proposal contributions, cloud architecture solutioning, and client presentations. Identify and shape follow-on engagement opportunities. Contribute to reusable assets, reference architectures, and points of view that strengthen the practice's cloud architecture advisory capability.
Qualifications & Certifications
Educational Background
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline. A Master's degree (MBA, MSc in Cloud Computing, or equivalent) is preferred.
Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
Other Certifications — Good-to-have
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
Experience
9–14 years of relevant experience in consulting, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise technology organisations. At least 4 years leading cloud architecture workstreams within enterprise advisory or transformation programs, with direct ownership of architecture design and client stakeholder management at VP and Director level.
Hands-on experience designing and delivering Azure environments — Landing Zone configurations, Management Group hierarchies, Azure Policy assignments, Entra ID configurations, VNet and networking designs, and workload placement strategies across compute, storage, and database layers.
Strong experience designing cloud security architecture for client environments — developing Zero Trust network designs, Entra ID and access governance models, encryption frameworks, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud implementations.
Experience leading FinOps workstreams — building financial governance frameworks, developing multi-year Azure cost models, designing chargeback and showback mechanisms, and identifying Reservation, Azure Hybrid Benefit, and rightsizing opportunities.
Experience contributing cloud architecture inputs to adjacent workstreams — providing the Azure platform foundation for AI and agentic workloads using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and Azure Machine Learning; supporting Tech Modernization and Technology Resiliency engagements with cloud-native architecture patterns.
Experience supporting business development — contributing to proposals, solutioning, and client presentations; identifying and shaping follow-on opportunities.
