Job Specification Maintain accurate records of stock levels, including raw materials, consumables, tools, and finished goods. Monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts. Perform regular physical stock audits and reconciliation with the system. Implement FIFO (First In First Out), LIFO (Last In First Out), or FEFO as appropriate. Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. Ensure safe handling, labeling, and storage of parts and equipment. Allocate proper locations for material storage to ensure easy retrieval and safety. Implement 5S and lean practices in warehouse layout and processes. Maintain all records related to GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), issue slips, return notes, and other inventory documents. Update inventory management system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, or other ERPs). Coordinate with procurement, quality, and production departments for inventory-related data. Liaise with vendors and transporters for timely delivery and dispatch. Ensure incoming materials match purchase orders and quality specifications. Ensure compliance with company and legal safety standards in storage and handling. Maintain MSDS and safety instructions for hazardous materials if any. Identify and implement methods to improve warehouse efficiency and space utilization. Reduce inventory discrepancies and lead times through process optimization
Key Skill Required in Candidate Familiarity with mechanical parts and engineering components. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) Basic knowledge of inventory control techniques.
