Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Textile Designer specializing in woven fabrics with hands-on experience in Texcad software. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing innovative fabric designs, creating weave structures, and supporting production teams with technical design inputs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop woven fabric patterns using Texcad software
- Create weave structures, dobby/jacquard designs, and fabric layouts
- Coordinate with production, weaving, and dyeing teams to ensure design feasibility
- Develop new fabric collections based on market trends and customer requirements
- Prepare technical sheets, pattern layouts, and design specifications
- Modify and optimize existing designs for improved quality and efficiency
- Maintain design records and documentation
- Ensure designs meet quality, cost, and production standards
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of woven fabric structures and textile fundamentals
- Proficiency in Texcad software
- Understanding of yarn types, weaving techniques, and fabric construction
- Ability to translate concepts into technical designs
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and creativity
Qualifications:
- Diploma / Degree in Textile Design, Textile Technology, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in woven fabric design
Preferred Skills (Optional):
- Experience with jacquard or dobby weaving
- Knowledge of color matching and fabric finishing
- Exposure to export or domestic fabric markets
