Job Summary
Active Directory (Azure AD) Engineer is responsible for the administration, support, and maintenance of Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) services. The role focuses on identity and access management, user lifecycle management, authentication services, conditional access, security compliance, and troubleshooting of Azure AD-related incidents. The engineer acts as the escalation point for L1 teams, ensuring secure and efficient identity services across hybrid and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and support Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) environments. Provision, modify, and deprovision user accounts, groups, and roles. Configure and troubleshoot Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Conditional Access policies. Support Azure AD Connect synchronization between on-premises Active Directory and Azure AD. Monitor identity management systems and resolve incidents within SLA. Troubleshoot authentication, authorization, and directory synchronization issues. Manage application registrations and enterprise applications. Perform access reviews and ensure compliance with security policies. Support role-based access control (RBAC) management. Assist in implementing identity governance and privileged identity management (PIM). Create and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles. Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams for IAM-related initiatives.
