We are looking for a skilled Plumbing Draftsman with experience in MEP construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed plumbing and drainage shop drawings, coordinated MEP drawings, as-built drawings, and supporting project execution teams with accurate drafting and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare plumbing, drainage, water supply, and sewerage shop drawings based on approved design drawings.
- Develop coordinated MEP drawings using AutoCAD and BIM standards where applicable.
- Prepare isometric drawings, sections, and detailed layouts for site execution.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Fighting, HVAC, and Civil teams to avoid clashes.
- Revise drawings based on consultant comments, site conditions, and project requirements.
- Prepare as-built drawings and maintain drawing revision records.
- Support quantity take-off and material estimation from approved drawings.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, local authority requirements, and relevant codes.
- Maintain proper documentation of drawings, revisions, and technical records.
- Coordinate with project engineers and site teams to resolve drafting-related issues.
Requirements
- Diploma/ITI/BTech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience as a Plumbing Draftsman in MEP construction projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, water supply, drainage, sewerage, and firefighting layouts.
- Experience in preparing shop drawings and as-built drawings.
- Familiarity with BIM/Revit will be an added advantage.
- Good understanding of MEP coordination and construction drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
