Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant / Senior Accounts Executive to manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial records, reconciliations, statutory compliances, and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, GST, TDS, taxation, and financial processes, along with hands-on experience in Tally/ERP and MS Excel. The candidate should be able to work independently, maintain accuracy, and ensure timely completion of accounting and compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure timely recording and posting of financial transactions.
- Prepare and maintain bank, vendor, customer, and ledger reconciliations.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
- Prepare invoices, debit notes, credit notes, payment requests, and supporting documents.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and coordinate for timely settlements.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances and ensure timely filing and payments.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, vendors, and other external stakeholders.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Verify expenses, supporting documents, and accounting entries for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain proper financial records and documentation for audit and statutory requirements.
- Support budgeting, cash-flow monitoring, MIS reporting, and financial analysis.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and coordinate with relevant teams for timely resolution.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Accounting Standards, Companies Act, GST, Income Tax, and other relevant regulations.
- Perform other finance and accounting duties assigned by management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–7 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
- Strong knowledge of Tally / ERP / accounting software.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and other commonly used functions.
- Good understanding of GST, TDS, and Income Tax.
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, bookkeeping, and reconciliations.
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in handling complete accounting operations.
- Experience in audit coordination and statutory compliance.
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Zoho, or similar platforms.
- Experience in MIS reporting and month-end closing.
- Prior experience in managing vendor/customer reconciliations and statutory documentation.
