Commis Chef – South Indian Cuisine
Location: Adani Airport Lounge, CSMIA Terminal 2, Mumbai
Job Summary
Semolina Kitchens is hiring a Commis Chef – South Indian Cuisine to support the preparation of authentic South Indian dishes in our premium Airport Lounge. The ideal candidate should have a passion for regional cuisine and a willingness to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing South Indian dishes including dosas, idlis, vadas, uttapams, sambhar, chutneys, and other regional specialties.
- Support senior chefs during buffet and live counter operations.
- Prepare mise en place before service.
- Maintain consistency in food quality and presentation.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Ensure proper storage and stock rotation (FIFO).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Assist in buffet replenishment during service.
- Perform additional duties assigned by senior chefs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts.
- 0–2 years of experience in South Indian cuisine.
- Freshers with industrial training are welcome to apply.
- Basic knowledge of South Indian cooking techniques.
- Ability to work rotational shifts, including nights.
