Web Developer & HTML Email Specialist
We are looking for a skilled Web Developer with expertise in Shopify, WordPress, HTML Email Development, SEO, GEO, Web Analytics, and WCAG Accessibility to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing our websites while ensuring excellent performance, security, accessibility, search engine visibility, and user experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesWebsite Development & Maintenance
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Shopify and WordPress websites.
- Build custom website features using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Shopify Liquid, and PHP.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website bugs, errors, and performance issues.
- Manage Shopify apps, WordPress plugins, and third-party integrations.
- Ensure responsive, mobile-friendly, and cross-browser compatible websites.
- Monitor website security, updates, backups, and overall performance.
Accessibility (WCAG)
- Ensure all websites comply with WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA accessibility standards.
- Conduct accessibility audits and resolve accessibility issues.
- Implement semantic HTML, proper ARIA attributes, keyboard navigation, color contrast, focus management, and screen-reader compatibility.
- Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to build accessible digital experiences.
- Stay current with accessibility best practices and compliance requirements.
HTML Email Development
- Design and develop responsive HTML email templates.
- Ensure compatibility across Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, and other major email clients.
- Test and troubleshoot rendering issues.
- Experience with Sendy or similar email marketing platforms is an advantage.
SEO, GEO & Web Analytics
- Implement technical SEO best practices, including:
- Meta titles and descriptions
- Structured data (Schema)
- XML sitemaps
- Image optimization and alt text
- URL optimization
- Internal linking
- Core Web Vitals and page speed optimization
- Optimize websites for Google Search and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
- Monitor website performance using:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
- Google Search Console
- Google Tag Manager
- Other SEO and analytics tools
- Analyze website performance and provide recommendations to improve traffic, conversions, and user engagement.
Domain & Hosting Management
- Manage domains and hosting environments, including SiteGround (preferred).
- Configure DNS records, SSL certificates, hosting settings, and website migrations.
- Ensure website uptime, security, and optimal performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience developing Shopify and WordPress websites.
- Strong proficiency in:
- HTML5
- CSS3
- JavaScript
- PHP
- Shopify Liquid
- Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA accessibility standards.
- Experience conducting accessibility audits using tools such as WAVE, axe DevTools, Lighthouse, or similar.
- Strong understanding of technical SEO and website optimization.
- Knowledge of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and/or Local SEO.
- Experience with Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, and other analytics tools (like Bing webmasters).
- Knowledge of domain management, DNS, SSL, and web hosting.
- Experience with SiteGround is preferred.
- Experience developing responsive HTML email templates.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Sendy or similar email marketing platforms.
- Familiarity with Core Web Vitals and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of website security best practices.
- Experience managing multiple websites across different platforms.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a developer who can take ownership of website development, accessibility compliance, technical SEO, web analytics, and continuous optimization. Candidates with strong experience in WCAG accessibility standards, technical SEO, GEO, and analytics will be given preference.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
