Role Objective Drive new business growth by identifying high-value infrastructure opportunities, shaping competitive bids, and securing contracts in key segments including water & irrigation, pumped storage, hydro-mechanical systems, and allied civil construction. Build relationships across clients and stakeholders. Ensure that bids are commercially viable, compliant, and risk-balanced, supporting Om Infra’s strategic objectives and financial goals. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Business Development [Identify New Business Opportunities for organisational growth / Monitor and research tender pipelines across: Central & State government agencies, Jal Jeevan Mission, NHPC, Power utilities, Multilateral/ International clients / Build relationships with clients, consultants, PMCs, and stakeholders to influence tender specifications and partnerships.] 2. Tendering & Bid Management [Collaborate with Tendering team for major infrastructure projects including RFQ, RFP and bid submissions / Conduct bid/no-bid analysis with focus on technical feasibility, commercial viability, operational risks and alignment with Om Infra’s capabilities. / Drive preparation of compliant technical proposals, commercial bids and risk documentation] 3. Commercial & Risk Evaluation [Collaborate with estimating, engineering, contracts, and finance teams to build pricing strategies that are competitive yet risk-optimized. / Perform commercial evaluations including cost build-up, margin protection, cash flow impact and working capital needs / Identify, mitigate, and document key risk exposures (e.g., site risk, escalation, LD clauses, payment terms) 4. Contract Negotiation & Governance 5. JV/Consortium & Partner Management [ Identify strategic partners and JV opportunities for large or specialized contracts. / Structure consortium credentials and roles to maximize eligibility and competitiveness in tenders.] 6. Handovers & Implementation Support [ Ensure structured handover of bid assumptions, risk registers and contractual commitments to Project Execution teams. / Participate in Post Award kick-offs and periodic reviews to align execution and commercial outcomes.] Qualifications & Experience Education • Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering • Preferred - MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Finance, or Infrastructure Management Experience • 10-15 + years in business development & tendering in infrastructure / EPC / construction sectors • Proven track record with large- irrigation , water management , hydro- power, pumped storage or hydro-mechanical EPC projects • Experience with public sector bids (Central/State), Jal Jeevan Mission, NHPC, and international tenders is a plus Skills & Competencies • Strong technical and commercial understanding of infrastructure contracts • Excellent negotiation, risk evaluation, and presentation skills • Sound judgement in bid/no-bid decisions • Competence with e-procurement portals and tender systems • Leadership, cross-functional coordination and stakeholder management • Ability to develop and manage relationships with clients, consultants and PMCs
