Key Roles & Responsibilities
A. Site Execution
* Supervise and monitor daily civil construction activities at the project site.
* Execute work as per approved architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
* Supervise RCC, reinforcement, shuttering, concreting, masonry, plastering and finishing works.
* Check line, level, alignment, dimensions and verticality of construction work.
* Ensure proper construction sequence and timely completion of assigned activities.
* Identify site-related technical issues and coordinate for timely resolution.
B. RCC & Structural Work
* Supervise reinforcement, shuttering and concreting activities.
* Check reinforcement as per structural drawings before concrete pouring.
* Monitor concrete quality, cube testing and required site checks.
* Ensure proper curing and deshuttering practices.
* Coordinate with structural consultants for technical clarifications.
C. Finishing Works
* Supervise blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, flooring, painting and other finishing activities.
* Ensure finishing work meets the required quality and workmanship standards.
* Prepare and monitor snag lists and ensure timely rectification.
* Coordinate with MEP teams to avoid clashes with civil and finishing activities.
D. Contractor & Labour Management
* Supervise contractors, subcontractors, supervisors and labour teams.
* Monitor manpower deployment and productivity.
* Allocate daily work activities and monitor progress.
* Coordinate with contractors regarding targets, quality and timelines.
* Ensure contractors follow approved drawings and project specifications.
E. Quality Control
* Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.
* Ensure construction work is executed as per approved drawings and specifications.
* Minimize rework and identify quality issues at an early stage.
* Maintain quality checklists and inspection records.
* Coordinate with QA/QC personnel and consultants during inspections.
F. Material & Resource Management
* Prepare material requirements based on site progress.
* Coordinate with stores/procurement for timely availability of materials.
* Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
* Verify materials received at site against required specifications.
* Ensure proper storage and utilization of construction materials.
G. Measurement & Billing
* Take and verify measurements of completed work.
* Check contractor/subcontractor bills against actual site measurements.
* Assist in preparation and verification of BOQs, quantity estimates and material requirements.
* Maintain proper records of quantities executed and pending works.
H. Planning & Progress Monitoring
* Prepare daily and weekly work plans.
* Monitor project progress against scheduled targets.
* Maintain Daily Progress Reports (DPR) and other project reports.
* Highlight delays, manpower shortages, material requirements and technical issues to the Project Manager.
* Assist in achieving project milestones within the planned timelines.
I. Documentation & Coordination
* Maintain drawings, revisions, site instructions, inspection reports and work records.
* Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, contractors and vendors.
* Attend project/site meetings and provide technical updates.
* Ensure the latest approved drawings are available at site.
* Maintain proper documentation for completed and ongoing works.
J. Safety & Compliance
* Ensure workers follow site safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
* Coordinate with the safety team to maintain a safe working environment.
* Report unsafe practices and site hazards immediately.
* Ensure construction activities are carried out in accordance with applicable standards and project requirements.
Required Qualification
- B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 5 years of relevant experience in residential construction.
- Candidates with experience in residential apartments, high-rise or multi-storey projects will be preferred.
Technical Skills Required
1. Strong knowledge of RCC, shuttering, reinforcement and concreting.
2. Knowledge of masonry, plastering, waterproofing and finishing works.
3. Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
4. Knowledge of quantity estimation, measurements and BOQs.
5. Basic knowledge of construction quality standards and safety practices.
6. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.
7. Knowledge of DPR, WPR and project documentation will be an advantage.
