Job Title: Purchase Executive

Job Summary
The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and ensuring the timely availability of raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, spare parts, and services required for paint manufacturing. The role focuses on cost optimization, quality assurance, vendor management, and maintaining uninterrupted production.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure raw materials such as resins, pigments, solvents, additives, fillers, and chemicals.
- Purchase packaging materials including metal/plastic containers, lids, labels, cartons, and pallets.
- Source engineering spares, maintenance items, PPE, and other indirect materials.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate with suppliers, and prepare comparative statements.
- Generate Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up with suppliers for timely deliveries.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, QA/QC, Stores, and Finance departments to meet procurement requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchases to prevent stock shortages or overstocking.
- Develop and maintain relationships with approved vendors and identify new suppliers.
- Ensure purchased materials comply with company quality standards and specifications.
- Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, quality complaints, shortages, and invoice discrepancies.
- Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, contracts, and documentation.
- Track market trends, raw material prices, and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, statutory requirements, and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of procurement experience, preferably in the paint, chemical, coatings, or manufacturing industry.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of paint raw materials and procurement processes.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good understanding of inventory control and supply chain management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
