Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for DG sets and related products.
- Identify and develop new customers in segments like industrial, commercial, construction, healthcare, telecom, infrastructure sectors, etc..
- Generate leads through market visits, networking, internal references, and tenders.
- Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, contractors, and OEM partners.
- Understand customer power requirements and recommend suitable DG solutions.
- Conduct customer meetings, site visits, and capability presentations.
Tender & Project Management
- Participate in tenders.
- Coordinate with engineering and project teams for technical submissions.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms (with the support of Senior Management team, if required).
Market Analysis
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
- Identify emerging opportunities in power backup and energy solutions.
- Provide market intelligence and sales forecasts to management.
Coordination & Reporting
- Work closely with associated teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain CRM records and prepare sales reports.
- Track order execution and payment collections.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical)
- MBA in Marketing would be an added advantage.
- 5–10 years of sales experience in DG sets, power equipment, electrical products, or industrial machinery.
Required Skills
- Strong B2B sales and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of diesel generators, power systems, and electrical equipment.
- Ability to read technical specifications and tender documents.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- CRM and Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Team management and leadership capabilities.
