At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
Your impact
We are looking for a 4D BIM Specialist to join our team and lead the delivery of major projects across multiple regions and sectors. The successful candidate will serve as a key subject matter expert for 4D BIM and digital construction planning, driving the integration of project schedules with BIM models to support effective project visualization, sequencing, and delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of BIM standards, digital delivery workflows, and construction methodologies, along with expertise in 4D simulation tools.
As part of Jacobs' Digital Delivery team, you will play a critical role in advancing data-centric project solutions across our global operations. Leveraging cutting-edge technologies and innovative workflows, you will develop and manage 4D models, support construction planning and logistics, identify schedule risks and opportunities, and enhance stakeholder engagement through visual project simulations. You will collaborate closely with project teams, planners, designers, and construction stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of BIM and scheduling data, enabling smarter, more efficient, and predictable project delivery.
Jacobs Digital Delivery is at the forefront of transforming project execution through Information Management, BIM, Digital Engineering, Design Automation, 4D Planning, 5D Cost Integration, Digital Twins, and BIM Analytics. By harnessing these capabilities, we deliver enhanced project certainty, improved decision-making, and greater value for our clients worldwide
Lead the end-to-end implementation of 4D BIM across projects, from planning and strategy through delivery and handover.
Review BIM federated models for constructability, model quality, LOD, naming conventions, and information completeness to support accurate 4D simulations.
Perform model federation, model health checks, clash detection (to identify duplicates), and model validation using Navisworks/Revizto or any other BIM Coordination platforms.
Collaborate with BIM Coordination teams to resolve model issues affecting construction sequencing and simulation accuracy.
Develop, integrate, and maintain 4D construction simulations by linking BIM Models (LOD300-400) with project schedules (L3-L5) using industry-standard 4D tools.
Develop reusable templates, appearance profiles, automation scripts, search sets, and standardized workflows to improve consistency across projects.
Develop and maintain scalable automation frameworks, scripting solutions, and rule-based model-to-task linking workflows to streamline 4D Simulation processes, improving efficiency, consistency and project delivery performance.
Collaborate with planners, project managers, design team, and construction stakeholders to develop construction sequencing, logistics planning, and methodology simulations.
Develop 4D simulations for crane studies, temporary works, access planning, material flow, laydown areas, equipment movement, and site logistics.
Perform constructability reviews, schedule validation, and sequence optimization using 4D simulations to identify construction risks before execution.
Support planned vs actual progress monitoring through schedule updates, field data integration, and construction progress validation.
Develop, maintain and enhance 4D BIM dashboards using Power BI, Bentley Infrastructure cloud or any other digital platforms to monitor project progress, schedule performance, model status, KPI’s, resource utilization and construction analytics, enabling real time decision making and effective stakeholder reporting.
Integrate Photogrammetry, drone surveys, and site captures technologies with 4D workflows for progress validation and Site Logistics planning.
Conduct quality reviews of 4D models, schedule integration, model-task associations, and simulations outputs before project submission.
Ensure compliance with BIM Standards, project BIM Execution plans (BEP), ISO 19650 requirements, and client-specific digital delivery requirements.
Lead and participate in BIM Coordination meetings, interdisciplinary design reviews, and client meetings to align project stakeholders, resolve coordination issues, communicate 4D strategies, and present construction sequencing, logistics, and simulation outcomes.
Deliver technical training, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing sessions to BIM teams, planners, and project stakeholders to enhance 4D BIM capabilities across the projects.
Here's what you'll need
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in implementation of 4D BIM on large scale projects.
5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM), digital delivery, or related domains preferably within sectors such as Transportation, Data Centers, Water, Energy & Power (E&P), and Buildings.
Advanced level of expertise in 4D BIM software such as Synchro and/or Fuzor.
Experience with CM Builder and drone or reality capture workflows would be an added advantage.
Knowledge of project management software such as MS Project, Oracle Primavera P6.
Certification in 4D BIM Tools and Processes would be an added advantage (i.e. Bentley Synchro Accredited Professional certification)
Knowledge of PowerBI or other data visualization tools would be an added advantage
Proven track record of successfully leading BIM implementation on large-scale and technically complex projects.
Professional certifications in BIM (e.g., Autodesk/Bentley Certified Professional, ISO 19650) are highly desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong understanding of AEC industry design and construction workflows.
Excellent communication and project management skills.
Strong understanding of ISO 19650 and other BIM-related standards.
