Summary:
As a Test Automation Lead, a typical day involves spearheading the evolution of testing practices to establish a seamless and efficient quality engineering process. This role focuses on driving continuous improvement by integrating advanced tools and methodologies that enhance control, accuracy, and data integrity. The position requires fostering innovation in testing strategies, promoting intelligent and predictive approaches, and ensuring that quality remains at the forefront of the development lifecycle. Collaboration across various teams to align testing objectives with organizational goals is a key aspect of daily activities, ensuring that the testing function delivers measurable value and supports overall project success.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the adoption of innovative testing tools and methodologies to enhance automation capabilities.
- Mentor and guide team members to develop their skills and improve overall team performance.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure alignment of testing strategies with project objectives.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Java for test automation scripting
Experience with backend test automation
Experience with API test automation
Experience with UI test automation using Selenium
Experience with tools such as Postman/Rest Assured
Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber
Exposure to working in a DevOps environment configuring and integrating automation scripts on CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or equivalent
Experience with GIT or other version control tools
Experience with relational databases and querying tools such as SQL server
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Automated Testing.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
The candidate is required to work out of the Client Office in Kharadi, Pune for 3 days per week, as per the mandate.
