An Assistant Manager of Engineering in a hotel assists the Chief Engineer in operating and maintaining the physical property They lead daily maintenance, supervise technical staff, and enforce safety and sustainability standards. This hands-on role ensures guest rooms and building systems operate flawlessly.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Maintenance & Operations: Coordinate preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for HVAC-R, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety systems.
- Staff Leadership: Train, mentor, and supervise shift engineers and technicians. Delegate daily work orders and monitor work quality.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure the property adheres to local building codes, fire safety regulations, and insurance standards. Act as the leader of the on-site emergency response team.
- Budget & Cost Control: Assist with managing departmental budgets, tracking inventory, and executing energy conservation programs.
- Vendor Management: Oversee external contractors for repairs, renovations, or new construction.
- Guest Experience: Conduct regular property inspections to quickly resolve maintenance issues and minimize disruptions to guests.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
