Job Summary
The IB Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction aligned with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP). The teacher will create a nurturing, inquiry-based learning environment that supports students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities1. Teaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons based on the IB PYP framework
- Implement inquiry-based, concept-driven teaching strategies
- Integrate subjects such as Language, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Use formative and summative assessments to track student progress
2. Classroom Management
- Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
- Promote student agency, independence, and collaboration
- Establish clear expectations and routines
3. IB Programme Implementation
- Develop and deliver Units of Inquiry aligned with PYP themes
- Incorporate the IB Learner Profile attributes into daily teaching
- Collaborate with PYP coordinators and other teachers
4. Student Development
- Support students’ social-emotional learning and well-being
- Monitor and report on student progress
- Identify and support students with additional learning needs
5. Collaboration & Communication
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and specialists
6. Assessment & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of student performance
- Prepare report cards and conduct parent-teacher conferences
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant field (Master’s preferred)
- Teaching certification (required)
- Experience with IB PYP (preferred)
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience
- 2–5 years of teaching experience in primary grades
- Prior experience in an IB World School is an advantage

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
