As Financial Counsellor, will be responsible for guiding patients regarding treatment costs, payment plans, financing options, packages, and billing-related support. A.Patient Financial Counselling
Counsel patients regarding treatment costs, service packages, and payment structures.
Provide detailed explanation of treatment estimates, package inclusions, and applicable charges.
Guide patients regarding suitable payment plans and financing options.
B. EMI & Finance Coordination
Explain EMI, installment, and finance facility options to patients.
Coordinate with finance partners or third-party agencies for loan and EMI processing.
Assist patients with required financial documentation and approvals.
C. Payment Collection & Follow-Up
Ensure timely collection of advance payments, balances, and pending dues.
Follow up with patients regarding overdue payments and scheduled installments.
Maintain proper payment schedules and follow-up records..
D. Billing & Documentation
Generate and maintain invoices, receipts, quotations, and financial records accurately.
Verify payment details and ensure proper billing procedures are followed.
Maintain organised patient financial files and documentation.
E. Patient Relationship Management
Build professional and positive relationships with patients.
Handle sensitive financial discussions professionally and empathetically.
Ensure patient satisfaction through effective communication and support.
F. Coordination with Internal Teams
Coordinate with doctors, therapists, front office, and operations teams regarding patient treatment estimates and approvals.
Ensure smooth communication between departments for financial processes.
Update relevant teams regarding patient payment status when required.
G. Query Resolution
Address patient concerns related to billing, package details, refunds, and payment procedures.
Resolve financial queries promptly and professionally.
H. Reporting & Financial Tracking
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for management review.
Track collections, pending dues, and payment status regularly.
Maintain accurate financial tracking sheets and reports.
I. Compliance & Confidentiality
Ensure confidentiality of patient and clinic financial information.
Follow clinic policies, financial guidelines, and operational procedures strictly.
Ensure all financial activities comply with management standards..
J. Sales & Conversion Support
Support patient conversion through effective financial counselling and package explanation.
Assist in achieving clinic revenue and collection targets.
Promote available treatment packages and offers appropriately.
K. Administrative Support
Support front office and administrative operations whenever required.
Maintain proper filing and record management systems.
Assist management in audits and financial verification processes.
Skills Set
- Strong leadership and interpersonal communication.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Financial acumen (budgeting, billing, basic analysis).
- In-depth knowledge of clinic software and digital records.
- Problem-solving orientation and calmness under pressure.
- Basic understanding of healthcare regulations.
- Fluency in English and Kannada a plus.
- Working hours: 9 hrs/week (Monday–Saturday; occasional Sundays during outreach or events)
- Salary: ₹ 25,000–40,000 per month (flexible based on credentials)
