Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly, responsible, and organised Dental Assistant & Receptionist to join our dental clinic. The candidate will support the dentist during clinical procedures while also handling front-desk, patient coordination, and basic administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
Dental Assistant Duties
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures and treatments.
- Prepare the dental chair, instruments, materials, and treatment rooms.
- Maintain proper sterilisation and infection-control protocols.
- Assist with dental X-rays and other clinical procedures as required.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
- Ensure treatment rooms are clean, organised, and properly stocked.
- Follow clinical safety and cross-infection control procedures.
- Provide basic chairside support and patient assistance.
- Maintain accurate patient treatment records.
Receptionist & Front Desk Duties
- Greet and welcome patients professionally.
- Manage patient appointments, confirmations, cancellations, and follow-ups.
- Handle phone calls, WhatsApp enquiries, and patient queries.
- Register new patients and maintain patient information.
- Explain basic treatment-related information and clinic procedures to patients.
- Manage billing, payments, receipts, and basic daily cash records.
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Follow up with patients regarding appointments and treatment plans.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Assist with basic administrative and documentation tasks.
Requirements.
- Previous experience in a dental clinic, hospital, or healthcare setting is an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of dental instruments, sterilisation, and infection control.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to handle patients politely and professionally.
- Good organisational and multitasking skills.
- Willingness to learn and take responsibility.
