Position: Fundraising & Investment - Treasury

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced person for our fundraising initiatives and investment portfolio management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and executing debt/equity financing to support business growth, managing banking relationships, optimizing liquidity to maximize returns on surplus cash, all while ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal risk management policies.
Key Responsibilities :

Fundraising & Capital Structure Management

Fundraising Support: Assist in debt/equity fundraising activities, including preparing financial models, pitch books, and loan proposals (CMA data).

Relationship Management: Maintain and build relationships with banks, NBFCs, investors, and rating agencies to secure competitive funding, including Term Loans, Working Capital, and structured finance deals.

Debt Servicing & Covenants: Monitor debt portfolio and manage and ensure timely interest/principal payments and manage compliance with various lender covenants.

Due Diligence: Interface with lenders, investors, and legal counsel during financial due diligence for debt investments.

Investment Management

Surplus Cash Optimization: Execute investment strategies for surplus funds in line with company policy to maximize returns while maintaining liquidity.

Portfolio Management: Manage and monitor the investment portfolio, including treasury bills, commercial paper, and other money market instruments.

Cash Management & Forecasting

Liquidity Management: Monitor daily cash positions to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.

Cash Forecasting: Develop short- and long-term cash flow forecasts, identifying potential cash surpluses or deficits.

Banking Operations: Manage bank account structures, including opening, closing, and updating signatories.

Risk Management & Compliance

Financial Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate financial risks, including interest rate and currency risks (FX hedging).

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all fundraising and investment activities comply with FEMA, SEBI and RBI guidelines.

Internal Controls: Maintain strict treasury controls and governance.

Reporting & Systems

Reporting: Prepare monthly/quarterly reports for the Board, Investment Committee, and Audit Committee.

System Improvements: Drive automation and efficiency in treasury processes, including the use of Treasury Management Systems (TMS) and ERP systems.
Required Qualifications and Skills

Education: MBA or CA

Experience: 4–5+ years of experience in corporate treasury, investment banking, or corporate finance.

Fundraising Expertise: Proven track record in securing debt/equity financing, particularly with structured finance deals.

Analytical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling (Excel) to evaluate investment options and debt structures.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of capital markets, financial instruments, and banking regulatory frameworks.

Soft Skills: Good communication, and interpersonal skills for dealing with stakeholders and lenders.
