Role Overview
We are looking for a Policy Analyst with strong research capabilities and a solid understanding of the political landscape, public discourse, and narrative building.
This role involves analysing policy developments, governance issues, and political trends, and translating those insights into strategic inputs for communication and public engagement.
The candidate should be able to understand political angles, interpret narratives emerging in public discourse, and identify how policy developments may be perceived by different stakeholders. The insights generated should help shape messaging across media, social media, and other communication channels.
Key Responsibilities
Policy Research & Analysis
* Conduct research on public policy, governance initiatives, and regulatory developments
* Analyse policy proposals, legislative developments, and government initiatives
* Track key policy debates and developments across institutions and public platforms
Political Context & Narrative Analysis
* Understand the political context around policy issues and stakeholder positioning
* Track emerging narratives in media, public debate, and digital platforms
* Identify political angles and narrative opportunities relevant to communication strategies
Strategic Insights
* Convert research into clear insights that support communication and engagement strategies
* Identify emerging issues, reputational risks, and opportunities in the political environment
* Support development of evidence-based narratives
Communication & Messaging Support
* Provide research inputs for speeches, reports, opinion pieces, and digital content
* Prepare briefing notes and background material for leadership engagements
* Support messaging strategies based on policy and political insights
Media & Public Discourse Monitoring
* Track media coverage and social media conversations around key issues
* Analyse sentiment and messaging trends
* Provide regular updates on narrative shifts and political developments
Skills & Competencies
* Strong understanding of public policy, governance, and political processes
* Ability to analyse policy issues within political and societal contexts
* Strong research and analytical skills
* Strong writing and narrative framing ability
* Ability to translate research into actionable insights for communication strategies
* Awareness of media and digital narrative ecosystems

Experience
* 2–5 years experience in policy research, political analysis, public affairs, governance research, or strategic communications
* Experience with think tanks, policy institutions, media organisations, research firms, or political consulting environments will be an advantage
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
