The Head of Engineering (SVP) will be a pivotal member of our executive team, driving the company's technology strategy and execution. This role demands a leader with a deep understanding of the technological landscape within the financial services industry, exemplary project management skills, and a proven track record in fostering high-performance teams while ensuring compliance with regulatory mandates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Chart out and execute a forward-looking technology strategy that aligns with the company’s goals, emphasizing scalability, security, and customer-centric innovation.
- Lead the transition towards a microservices-based architecture, ensuring the architecture supports scalability, maintenance, and compliance with ISO, PCI-DSS.
- Manage the technology team’s operational activities, promoting a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and technological excellence.
- Develop and implement advanced cybersecurity and data protection strategies to protect company and customer data against emerging threats, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Direct the recruitment, training, and development of the technology team to nurture talent and encourage professional growth, creating a dynamic and skilled team.
- Work closely with executive peers to develop technology solutions that enhance customer engagement, operational efficiency, and competitive edge.
- Keep abreast of new technology trends and best practices, evaluating and adopting new technologies where they offer strategic advantages.
- Oversee the creation, implementation, and maintenance of company-wide technology policies and standards, including disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Manage the technology budget, ensuring strategic allocation of resources and cost-effective technology investments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
- Over 10 years of technology leadership experience, with a significant portion within the financial services industry, ideally in an NBFC or banking context.
- Demonstrated success in leading significant technology transformation initiatives, including adopting microservices architectures.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks relevant to the financial industry, such as ISO, PCI-DSS, and NPCI.
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of building, mentoring, and retaining high-caliber technology teams.
- Exceptional strategic, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholder
