We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Project Supervisor to join our team, take charge of our on-site workforce, and ensure daily site operations meet our high standards for safety and efficiency.
The Role
As the Project Supervisor, you will be the backbone of our site operations. You will be directly responsible for leading the on-site labor force, ensuring we maintain the necessary headcount, and keeping productivity high throughout the shift. This is a demanding role that requires strong leadership and the ability to manage high-volume labor deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Labor Management: Supervise, direct, and coordinate the daily activities of all on-site laborers to ensure operational targets are met throughout the 12-hour shift.
- Onboarding & Induction: Lead the onboarding process for all new workers. Conduct site-specific orientations, explain safety protocols, and ensure all workers clearly understand their daily duties.
- Headcount & Attendance: Track daily attendance, manage timekeeping records, and proactively address any staffing shortages or drop-outs to maintain the strict headcount required for the project.
- Shift Handovers: Ensure smooth transitions between shifts, communicating daily progress, pending tasks, and labor requirements to the incoming team.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to workplace safety regulations and company policies to prevent on-site accidents.
- Task Delegation: Assign daily tasks based on worker skill levels and project priorities.
- Conflict Resolution: Address on-site disputes, disciplinary issues, and grievances fairly and promptly to maintain high team morale and minimize disruption.
- Progress Reporting: Act as the liaison between the labor force and management, reporting daily metrics and potential delays.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Supervisor, Site Foreman, or similar leadership role managing blue-collar workforces.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work consistent 12-hour shifts.
- Strong background in recruiting, onboarding, and managing large groups of contract or permanent labor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and discipline a diverse workforce.
- Solid understanding of attendance tracking, payroll inputs, and basic labor compliance.
- Ability to remain on your feet and active across the site for the duration of the long shift.
