Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, supervising, and monitoring daily production activities to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. The role includes managing manpower, maintaining hygiene, achieving production targets, minimizing wastage, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Execution
- Execute the daily production plan as per the production schedule.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the specified timeline.
- Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, and Warehouse departments.
- Monitor machine utilization and optimize production efficiency.
2. Team Management
- Supervise production operators, helpers, and contract workers.
- Allocate manpower based on production requirements.
- Conduct shift briefings and assign daily responsibilities.
- Train employees on SOPs, GMP, hygiene, and safety procedures.
- Monitor employee attendance, discipline, and performance.
3. Process Control
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor critical process parameters during production.
- Maintain product consistency and process efficiency.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
4. Quality & Food Safety
- Ensure compliance with:
- GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- GHP (Good Hygiene Practices)
- HACCP
- FSSAI Requirements
- ISO 22000 / BRC Standards (if applicable)
- Ensure products meet quality specifications.
- Coordinate with the QA team during inspections and audits.
- Prevent cross-contamination and maintain allergen control.
5. Hygiene & Sanitation
- Maintain cleanliness of production areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Ensure proper sanitation before and after production.
- Verify personnel hygiene compliance.
- Ensure pest control requirements are followed.
6. Cold Chain Management
- Ensure frozen products are maintained at specified temperatures.
- Monitor freezer and cold storage temperatures.
- Minimize product exposure outside cold storage.
- Report any temperature deviations immediately.
7. Inventory & Material Control
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging materials.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
- Verify FIFO/FEFO implementation.
- Coordinate with Stores for material issuance.
8. Documentation
Maintain accurate production records including:
- Production reports
- Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR)
- Yield reports
- Downtime reports
- Rework and rejection records
- Cleaning & sanitation checklists
- Temperature monitoring logs
- Shift handover reports
9. Machine & Equipment Monitoring
- Ensure machines are operated safely.
- Report machine breakdowns to Maintenance.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
- Ensure equipment is cleaned as per SOP.
10. Safety
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies.
- Promote safe work practices.
- Ensure proper use of PPE.
- Report accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Conduct safety toolbox talks.
11. Cost & Waste Control
- Reduce production losses and wastage.
- Improve productivity and labor efficiency.
- Monitor product yield.
- Control overtime and utility usage.
12. Continuous Improvement
- Participate in Kaizen, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Suggest process improvements.
- Support new product trials and process validations.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma / B.Sc. / B.Tech in Food Technology, Food Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 2–5 years in a Frozen Food or Food Processing Industry.
- Knowledge of frozen food manufacturing processes, hygiene standards, and food safety systems.
Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
