Job Summary
We are looking for an energetic and customer-focused Senior Sales Consultant to join our Retail Operations team in Chennai. In this role, you will serve as the face of our luxury jewellery brand on the showroom floor—welcoming guests, sharing a passion for fine jewellery, educating customers on signature Belgium Cut Diamonds, and driving sales from initial consultation to final billing. Senior Sales Consultants will additionally mentor junior team members and lead high-value and HNI (High-Net-Worth Individual) customer interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- On the Floor & Visual Merchandising: Set up and maintain counters, displays, and jewellery sections according to visual merchandising standards. Ensure all jewellery is handled with care (regular cleaning, proper storage, zero damage) and display trays are attractive, well-positioned, and refreshed for new collections and promotions.
- Sales & Engagement: Achieve individual sales targets through focused selling, cross-selling, and upselling. Conduct tele-calling activities for special occasions, promotions, exhibitions, and customer follow-ups while supporting team members on the floor during peak hours.
- Customer Experience: Welcome every customer as a guest, understand their specific needs, and present products confidently. Educate customers on Belgium Cut Diamonds, guide them through the showroom, resolve concerns on the spot (escalating to the Showroom Manager when necessary), and encourage every customer to leave a review.
- Stock & Reporting: Participate in morning and closing stock checks, flagging excess inventory or shortages to the Manager. Stay updated on diamond specifications, product lines, pricing, and store processes while reporting daily activities, design feedback, and non-purchase visit details.
- Senior Sales Consultant (Additional Responsibilities): Mentor and guide junior sales consultants on the floor, independently lead complex and high-value customer interactions, and support overall floor management and coordination during peak store hours and special events.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Experience: 2-4 years in retail sales for Senior Sales Consultant.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree /MBA preferred for Senior Sales Consultant.
- Behavioral Competencies: Strong customer focus, excellent communication skills, high standards of professionalism and personal presentation, diligent process adherence, collaborative teamwork, and solid planning and organizational skills.
