Key Responsibilities
1.Perform Network Simulation for research and development in various high capacity transport technologies ex. 100G, 200G, 400G and 800G,
2. Perform differential techno-economic analysis using various optical fiber types for long-haul and metro networks
3. Perform Competitors bench-marking over Sterlite fibers for external customer and emulation of customer pain/ challenges in lab/field demo
4. Conduct advance research on beyond state of the art targeting leading conferences/workshops/ Exhibitions/Trade shows
5. Perform the high capacity network planning, optimization, implementation, and identification of resource requirements for LH/Metro/Access network systems
6. Develop end to end connectivity solution with next generation fiber technologies such as HCF, MCF and also other than telecom application
7. Perform tests and characterization measurements of fiber, high speed devices, components and sub-systems
8. Will work on a number of projects simultaneously requiring considerable experience and adaptability in order to meet schedule and performance demands.
Required Skills
1. 2 years of experience in telecommunication engineering
2. Good understanding of optical networking, optical fiber link design and fiber related transmission system challenges
3. Modeling/Simulation experience of long-haul and metro optical transport system incorporating DWDM technology and Advanced modulation forms
4. Extensive experience in lab measurement of high-speed devices. (2.5/10/40/100/400 Gb/s), characterization/packaging for photonic sub-system module and development of optical transmitters /receivers
5. Working experience on optical communication system testing software: VPI transmission maker/ R-soft-optsim
6. Knowledge of coherent & incoherent detection and photonic devices\
7. Hand on experience with RF and optical network components testing, characterization/packaging for photonic sub-system module development
8. Good analytical skills, and experience with lab based experiments and optimization of optical transmission system and statistical analysis of measurement results.
9. Knowledge of optic communication systems, Sub-system optimization, and data acquisition using SMF and MMF fiber optic technologies Proficient with programming using MS EXCEL, LABIEW, MATLAB, and C, C++.
