Job Summary
The Packaging Development Executive is responsible for developing, evaluating, and implementing primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging solutions for pharmaceutical products in compliance with regulatory, quality, and stability requirements. The role involves coordination with R&D, production, QA, regulatory affairs, procurement, and packaging material vendors to ensure timely commercialization and lifecycle management of products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop packaging materials for pharmaceutical formulations including:
- Blister packs
- Alu-Alu packaging
- Bottles
- Sachets
- Cartons
- Labels
- Shippers
- Prepare and maintain:
- Packaging specifications
- BOMs
- Packaging development reports
- Packaging artworks and approval documents
- Conduct packaging trials on production and packing lines.
- Evaluate packaging compatibility with products and manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate stability studies related to packaging materials.
- Ensure compliance with:
- GMP
- USFDA
- EU guidelines
- WHO guidelines
- Regulatory requirements
- Handle artwork development and change control management.
- Coordinate with vendors for new packaging material development and qualification.
- Perform packaging material evaluation and validation activities.
- Conduct transit testing, seal integrity tests, and packaging performance studies.
- Support technology transfer and new product launches.
- Investigate packaging-related market complaints and implement CAPA.
- Work on packaging cost optimization and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications
- B.Pharm / M.Pharm
- B.E./B.Tech in Packaging Technology, Polymer, Mechanical, or Printing Technology
- Diploma in Packaging Technology preferred
Experience
- 0–2 years: Junior Executive / Trainee
- 2–5 years: Packaging Development Executive
- Experience in regulated pharma plants preferred.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
